Job Overview
We are looking for a Technical Writer who excels at breaking down complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible content for diverse audiences. This role requires proficiency in crafting documentation, blog posts, and AI prompts while utilizing Markdown and web-based knowledgebase tools. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining technical content, from product documentation to educational blog articles, helping customers and teams navigate the complexities of with ease.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation:
• Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation in Markdown, ensuring clarity and simplicity for technical and non-technical users alike.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to document complex systems and workflows, including server configurations, APIs, and management tools.
• Continuously review and improve existing knowledgebase articles to keep them up to date, accurate, and relevant.
Blog Content:
• Write engaging and SEO-optimized blog posts for our Sanity-based headless CMS, focusing on VPS hosting, technical tutorials, and industry trends.
• Simplify and explain complex topics such as VPS performance optimization, server management, and cybersecurity best practices in a conversational and approachable tone.
• Partner with marketing and product teams to align blog content with business goals and customer interests.
AI Prompt Creation:
• Develop effective and context-sensitive AI prompts to improve our AI-powered customer support and documentation tools.
• Iterate and refine AI prompts based on customer interactions and feedback to ensure high accuracy and helpfulness.
Collaboration and Feedback:
• Work closely with customer support teams to identify knowledge gaps and frequently asked questions, translating them into valuable content.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and designers to enhance user education and satisfaction through effective communication and design.
Requirements
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a technical writer, content creator, or in a similar role, preferably in a technical or hosting environment.
• Familiarity with Markdown, Git-based repositories, and headless CMS platforms (e.g., Sanity).
• Skills:
• Exceptional English writing and editing skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to create visually appealing, well-structured, and user-friendly documentation and blog articles.
• Experience crafting effective AI prompts is a strong advantage.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Basic understanding of VPS hosting, server type distinctions, networking, and Linux/Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with tools like SSH, APIs, and cloud-based technologies is a plus.
• Personal Traits:
• Detail-oriented, with a passion for creating high-quality, user-focused content.
• A strong problem-solver with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote team environment.
Work Environment
• Tools: Markdown-based documentation tools, Git repositories, Sanity headless CMS, and collaborative platforms like Slack, Front, and Asana.
• Flexibility: Work remotely with flexible hours, requiring a stable internet connection and a workspace conducive to focus.
